The Vanderhall logo is located on the bottom of the door on each side of the vehicle. The recalled vehicles were sold in Ivory White, Obsidian Black, Royal Blue, Ida Rose, Bosco Blue, Atomic Green, Rossa, Jean Gray and Emerald Green Metallic colors. Sold at: Vanderhall dealers in Utah, Ohio, Michigan, Texas, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Arizona from April 2024 to June 2026 for about $50,000. Made in United States.

The risk

The seat belts in Brawley ROVs can permanently lockup in the fully retracted position. If this occurs, consumers would be unable to reset the seat belt and put it on when the vehicle is operating, posing injury and crash hazards to consumers. Vanderhall has received 11 reports of the seat belt locking up. No injuries have been reported.

What to do

Consumers should stop using the recalled vehicles immediately and contact an authorized Vanderhall dealer to schedule a free repair. A technician will install an insert into the seat belt guide slot on each seat that will reduce the speed the seat belt retracts, preventing the lockup from occurring. Contact Vanderhall North America, LLC by email at inquiry@vanderhallusa.com or online at https://dealer.vanderhallusa.com/contact, https://portal.vanderhallusa.com/safety_notices, under the name of “Vanderhall North America, LLC Recalls Brawley GTS Seat Belt Retractor” for more information.
