Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Amazon Associates
ProductSafer is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites (including amazon.co.uk and other regional stores).
When you click a "Shop on Amazon" button on a finding page and make a qualifying purchase within 24 hours, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps fund the editorial work behind ProductSafer. Affiliate links are clearly marked and only point to products we genuinely believe are safer alternatives.
Editorial Independence
Affiliate relationships do not influence which findings we publish, how we rate product safety, or which products we cover. Our editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific evidence and credibility of the source material. We will never recommend a product purely because it earns us a commission.
Google AdSense
This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to personalise the ads you see based on your interests and prior browsing activity. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or via the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.
ProductSafer Verified Certification
Brands can pay an annual fee to apply for a “ProductSafer Verified” badge for a specific product (see Get Verified). This fee pays for the review itself — it does not buy approval. Certification is decided separately from our editorial findings: it checks a submitted ingredient list against our flagged-substances database and a human review, and has no effect on a brand or product's coverage, safety score, or severity ratings elsewhere on the site. A rejected application is not published, named, or held against the brand.
“Verified” means the submitted ingredient list did not match anything in our flagged-substances database at the time of review — it is not a general safety guarantee, a medical endorsement, or a claim that we tested the physical product.
Sponsorships
From time to time, ProductSafer may feature sponsored content or sponsored sections in our weekly email digest and website sidebar. All sponsored content is clearly labelled "Sponsored". Sponsors have no influence over our health findings, editorial coverage, or product safety assessments.
Ko-fi Donations
We accept voluntary tips via Ko-fi to help cover hosting and editorial costs. Donors receive no special access, influence over content, or commercial benefit.
FTC & ASA Compliance
In accordance with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) rules, we disclose any material connection between ProductSafer and the products or companies we link to. This page constitutes that disclosure.
