NTI and HTP gas boilers recalled over fire, carbon monoxide and impact hazards

CPSC recall of about 4,726 US NTI and HTP gas boilers made by Ariston, in listed FTVN, TFTN and EFTU model series. The condensate dish can crack, letting gas build up; the front cover can detach if it ignites. The firm has 34 incident reports, including three cover detachments. Consumers should stop using the boilers and contact Ariston for a free repair, and keep smoke and CO alarms while awaiting it.
