How we analyse
Every finding follows the same editorial process. No shortcuts, no sensationalism.
Our system scans 27+ trusted health sources every day: peer-reviewed journals, regulatory agencies, and publications like BMJ, The Lancet, FDA alerts, and Reuters Health.
We only publish findings traceable to a named, published source.
Each item is reviewed before publishing. We assess: Is this peer-reviewed? Is the finding reproducible? Is the media coverage accurate to the study?
We rate each finding Low, Medium, or High based on study size, effect strength, and any regulatory action taken.
We rewrite the finding in plain language: what the product is, what the study found, what the risk level means for everyday use.
Every summary includes a direct link to the original source. No paywalled links where avoidable.
How we rate severity
Preliminary research, small sample, or limited real-world exposure. Worth knowing but not urgent.
Replicated findings or regulatory attention. Consider reducing exposure, especially for vulnerable groups.
Strong evidence of harm, regulatory action, or recalls. Clear steps to reduce exposure are recommended.

I switched our family's cooking oil after reading the oxidation findings here. Never thought a product site would genuinely change my habits.

Finally a site that cites actual studies rather than vague claims. I have shared it with my GP and my nutritionist.
Daniel O.
Registered dietitian
The high-severity alert on a popular baby formula brand came out here before the mainstream news. Invaluable for parents.
